I’m here to talk to you today about why you would need a coach. Why do you need a coach? You need a coach to bring clarity to what it is that you’re doing, to help keep you honest, and then quite frankly call you out on your behaviour when you’re doing the wrong things, or when you’re not doing what you’re supposed to, to get ahead. Now, the most important feature about a coach is of course accountability.
Accountability is when you feel responsible for telling somebody else what it is that you have done well, but also what it is that you struggled with, or had challenges with. Because of that, then you have something that you feel that you have to not make amends with but certainly answer to it at the end of the day. Now, a coach is going to help you. Of course, again those three things. Make sure that you’ve got clarity, make sure that you keep honest, and keep on track, and will call you out on that. One part that’s interesting about coaches, they often have coaches themselves. In fact, I’ve got a coach right now, and that guy’s name is Keith, and he is an absolute beast at what he does. He keeps me honest, and he keeps me sane, and he keeps me on track, and he makes sure that I’m doing the things that I’m supposed to be doing while I try and help people just like you.
The most successful people in the world, never mind the most successful coaches, have coaches. Tony Robbins, one of the top coaches in the world, has his own coaches, and his own team of people.
Let’s go back…
Coaches bring clarity. They help you figure out where it is that you’re at right now. To figure out where you’re at right now what you’re good at, what you’re not good at, and pass that so we will understand what it is you’re capable of doing, and to maximize what you are exceptional at, or what you were born to do.
If you weren’t using the talents that you were born to use, then you are wasting your opportunity to get ahead in the world. To get ahead financially, to get ahead in business, to get ahead personally, to get ahead with your family, and to be the person that you deserve to be in this world. Clarity is going to help remove a lot of the clutter, shine a flashlight into dark corners, and essentially help you to understand who you are. That clarity comes with the next side of it, which is planning what you have to do next. Now, to plan what you have to do next and have clarity right now comes to the second point of what I’m saying.
Coaches help keep you honest. A good coach is going to call you out on your crap all the time and is going to make sure that you’re not hiding behind a set of rose-coloured glasses, or that you’re addressing the issues that you are living with and you face every day. The moment you engage a coach you should gain clarity, that’s the first point, the second one you should be very honest with yourself, and they, in turn, are going to be quite honest with you.
Yes, you’re going to gain clarity. Yes, you have to be honest with yourself. They’re going to call you out on your bull crap and make sure you stay on task, so you get what you want. Why you need a coach is very simple. Get out of your own way.
You need to get out of your own way, and we’re often the worst perpetrators of the damage that we do with our own lives. We often carry around what’s called a Superman complex where it’s “I can do everything.” We might not be very good at it, we might not have a sense of direction, or our brain itself is getting in the way of us being able to think clearly.
As long as your head stays cluttered, and you stay tightly wound up inside your own head you’re not going to be able to do the three most essential things you can, which coaches help. Be very clear on what you want, be very honest with yourself where you’re at, call you out on your bad behaviour, and keep you on task, to make sure you’re going to win and succeed. Coaches help you get out of your own way and win the way you were meant to.
Have a fantastic day.
